NursMind started with a nudge from one of Taylor's professors that she drives nuts with 18.5 questions an hour and a feeling she knew all too well: caring deeply about becoming a nurse while feeling overwhelmed by everything it takes to get there. As a nursing student and healthcare professional with hands-on patient-care experience, she knows how much heart goes into choosing nursing—and how quickly that passion can get buried under deadlines, scattered notes, and 44 open tabs. Nursing school asks a lot of students. Finding that one test-out checklist you were working on five minutes ago should NOT be an additional assessment.
Drawing on her background in entrepreneurship and creative business, Taylor is building the support she wishes she had, starting the first day of school: one connected space to study, plan, get organized, and catch your breath. Her purpose is personal—to make nursing school feel more manageable and to help everyone keep their sanity for a few seconds longer. leaving more room for growth, confidence, and the reasons students chose nursing in the first place. The hope behind NursMind is simple: that while they learn to become the people others will one day lean on, students can feel supported, too!
